A road accident occurred this morning on state road 131, at the exit from Macomer in the Monte Muradu area at the junction for Mulargia. A car and a motorcycle collided around 8:30. The worst off were a couple, riding the motorcycle, seriously injured: both are hospitalized in red code, their life is not in danger.

The man driving the motorcycle was taken by helicopter to Sassari . His partner, who was diagnosed with multiple trauma, was transferred to San Francesco in Nuoro. According to an initial reconstruction, the two motorcyclists were coming from Planargia and were entering the 131 towards Sassari, at the level intersection.

The Carabinieri and the fire brigade intervened on site. The road was cleared and traffic resumed normally by mid-morning .
