There was no trigger, but it was a bomb that was found this morning in front of the entrance to the Sar Grav laboratory of the National Institute of Nuclear Physics which houses the equipment of the Archimedes experiment, in the Sos Enattos mine in Lula: the underground galleries are candidates to host the Einstein Telescope, the futuristic device that will have to "listen" to gravitational waves.

An act of intimidation against an international project that could lead to an investment of billions of euros: the bomb was in front of the door of the shed used by the scientists who are working for the candidacy of Lula, who is contending for ET with a Dutch site.

The carabinieri from Bitti arrived in Sos Enattos this morning with their bomb squad colleagues from Nuoro: the bomb was detonated.

No damage to structures. But a stain on the image of the mine, which someone wanted to dirty perhaps without understanding the value of the initiative, carried out by the institutions (from the Government to the Region) but also by the vast majority of the population.
