Three foreign tourists were rescued by the Alghero Coast Guard in a protected marine area, near Isola Piana .

In the late afternoon of Sunday 21 April the operations room received a report of a pleasure boat adrift, with a broken engine, with three US tourists on board, north of Alghero .

The CP 559 patrol boat, already present in the area, carrying out environmental surveillance of the Capo Caccia - Isola Piana protected marine area, headed towards the vessel to provide assistance and reassure the crew. The three were disembarked in the bay of Porto Conte and then accompanied to the port .
