The situation at Portovesme Srl is constantly evolving . After the announcement of the suspension of production activities , the company took a step back . Despite the difficulties related to technical-environmental problems and union mobilizations, Portovesme Srl has communicated that the plants will not stop .

The assembly of workers, held this morning , expressed dismay and serious concern about the situation. The unions, including Filctem Cgil, Femca Cisl, Uiltec UIL and the RSU of Portovesme Srl, defined the resolution of the disputes through the shutdown of the plants as unacceptable, believing that this attitude risks contributing to the industrial desertification of the territory, already burdened by the crisis of the Portovesme hub.

Despite the tension, the layoffs planned for workers at a contracting firm have been revoked , a positive step that offers a sign of easing tensions.

In the meantime, the unions and the company are waiting for the meeting scheduled for March 11 in Rome , where the problems related to work and energy supply will be discussed, with the hope of finding shared solutions.
