He wanted to share with his friends and grandparents the happiness he experienced for having spent his holidays in a beautiful place: San Teodoro , Sardinia. To be satisfied, and not that much, he had to wait three months.

Jacopo, 6 years old, from Bergamo, who frequents the north-eastern coast of the island with his parents every summer, in the age of selfies and social media, has committed himself to drawing and writing on the back of some dear and old postcards. At the end of August, he posted them in the box next to the Town Hall of the Gallura municipality.

Child and family have returned home. His tan has faded in time. She wore the apron. He faced the first school tests. Meanwhile, none of the recipients had received his letter.

Then came the first rains, the cold. And these days, when Jacopo is already thinking about which Christmas presents to ask for, here's the news: a postcard has been delivered to his grandmother, another to a friend. The images of Sardinia's August sun are arriving, three months late.

"However, it went better than in 2021", says MB, Jacopo's father, now, "last year's ones have not yet arrived".
