Almost 107 millimeters (106.8) of rain in Is Cannoneris, on the mountains of Pula. Just under 50 (49.60) in the forest of Minni Minni, on the other side of southern Sardinia, in the municipality of Castiadas. In between Santadi (Punta Sebera with more than 50 millimeters) and Campu Omu in Sinnai, which touched 21 millimeters. Lower values in Cagliari, with less than 5 milliliters accumulated.

The values recorded after the rains of this night by the system of monitoring stations of Cedoc, the rain detection network of the Island that provides data in real time, are very respectable. The readings refer to the last 48 hours, but the main events were concentrated between yesterday and today.

Bad weather will accompany Sardinia also in the next few days, with a short break over the weekend.

Italy today is divided between spring heat and cloudbursts, but soon a phase of bad weather will arrive everywhere due to a Franco-Iberian cyclone.

Antonio Sanò, founder of the website www.ilmeteo.it, confirms a strong and widespread worsening expected from Sunday evening starting from the North West, but also recalls the intense rains and cloudbursts already present between the Major Islands and lower Calabria, but above all in Sicily: this first worsening is caused by a very active depression accompanied by a warm humid flow from North Africa rapidly moving towards Greece.

In the next few hours we will have rain, thunderstorms, showers and cloudbursts especially in Sicily, locally in Sardinia and in lower Calabria with strong sirocco winds: Italy will therefore be upside down until Sunday with lots of sun in the Center-North and moments of strong instability in the South. It will be warmer in Lombardy than in Sicily and Calabria.

From Sunday evening, however, a cyclone will also arrive that will expand between Portugal, Spain and France and will bring frequent rains to our country for at least 8 days, from North to South. Between Sunday evening and Monday morning there will be rain in the Center-North and snow in the Alps. Later, the water will also reach the South and we will have numerous open umbrella passages on the entire Tyrrhenian side and in the North-East; rains and storms will be less frequent on the Adriatic side, in the North-West and in the far South even if the situation will be cloudy and decidedly unstable.

It won't be cold despite the rain: the highs will drop from the current 20°C to around 13-15°C. Current projections indicate a possible improvement from Saturday 15 March.

In detail Friday 7. In the North: good weather and spring climate. In the Center: sun; rain in Sardinia. In the South: scattered clouds, severe bad weather in Sicily and lower Calabria.

Saturday 8. In the North: sunny with occasional cloudiness and spring-like weather. In the Center: cloudy with occasional cloudiness and spring-like weather. In the South: residual rains especially in the Ionian regions.

Sunday 9. In the North: bad weather arriving in the afternoon. In the Center: hazy at times cloudy and spring-like climate; worsening in the evening. In the South: hazy. Trend: decidedly bad weather on Monday, then frequent rain for the rest of the week.
