On April 27, a family was involved in an accident near Poetto Beach in Cagliari: after a chase, an SUV rammed a car carrying five people, which then crashed into a lamppost. The occupants of the car were hospitalized with serious injuries. A month and a half later, investigators from the Flying Squad reconstructed the incident, which was also linked to a previous attack outside a bar, also near Poetto Beach. Two eighteen-year-olds from Quartu and Monserrato were jailed on charges of attempted murder and aggravated assault, aggravated by trivial motives, following an order signed by investigating judge Luca Melis, executed yesterday by officers.

According to the reconstruction by the Mobile Police Department, coordinated by Director Davide Carboni, the two young men, likely drunk, kicked and punched a family's car in front of a restaurant in Poetto. When the owner demanded an explanation, the vicious attack began, targeting him and his son, who intervened to help his father. The two, despite their injuries, then fled to the car, along with three women (the driver's wife and minor daughter, and a friend of the girl). However, according to the charges, the group of attackers decided to pursue them in an SUV, ramming the other car and forcing it off the road.

Now, following the conclusion of the investigation coordinated by Prosecutor Diana Lecca, two of the alleged perpetrators have been jailed. They will appear before a judge for preliminary hearings by Monday.
