Ignazio Siddi, the only one convicted for the death of Vincenzo Crisponi , returns to his cell.
The carabinieri of the Iglesias station carried out a prison order sent by the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Cagliari against the 46-year-old resident in Capoterra but actually domiciled in Iglesias in the "Casa Emmaus" therapeutic community.
The man was taken to Uta prison where he will have to serve the remaining sentence of seven years, 5 months and 11 days of imprisonment as he was found guilty of the crimes of personal injury and manslaughter. The second arrested, his friend and fellow countryman Francesco Farigu, was acquitted two years ago with full formula "for not having committed the deed".
THE BATTLE - The story dates back to 13 February 2018. On that day the carabinieri of the Radiomobile in Via Nuoro, alerted by the Cagliari operations center, arrived in via Sebastiano Satta in Capoterra and here they found the 56-year-old lying on the ground.
Crisponi shortly before had been attacked and violently beaten for a trivial dispute over a joint. Two people were soon tracked down by the operating soldiers. Siddi was right nearby: seeing the carabinieri he had tried to get rid of a cutter and a knife by throwing it in a waste bin.
Unfortunately for Crisponi there was nothing more to do: the doctors were unable to revive him, he had had a heart attack. The surveys on the scene of the crime were carried out by personnel of the Investigative Unit of the Provincial Command of the Carabinieri of Cagliari.
