In Baratili San Pietro there is a six-year-old disabled child who still cannot learn to write, read and count. And not even having fun with your classmates, like you do at that age. For him , the services that the family had asked for from the municipal administrators and the school management during a meeting last May are missing .

The parents of the little boy, who has several health problems and is confined to a wheelchair, ask the Municipality to intervene immediately: «We only ask to have a heated room with a changing table where the assistant who takes care of my child can change him and wash it without problems", explains the child's father, Stefano Nibionni.

A request «that we made six months ago, even before the start of the school year. But my son is still at home. We are tired of waiting."

Last Friday the little boy's parents decided to take him to school to allow him to meet and greet his classmates, a moment of normal life in short: "It was exciting, a strong blow to the heart, for him but also for us", says dad Stefano, "my child is the same as all the others, he doesn't have to stay at home."

The deputy mayor of the municipality of Baratili Giannantonio Mudau immediately raises his hands, apologizes to the family and has no intention of making excuses: «The fault is ours. We have not been able in two months to set up a room with everything that was asked for by the family. However, a few days ago the area where the child can be changed and washed was identified. However, we still haven't had the chance to buy a changing table, so we organized a table. We purchased the boiler instead to have hot water. Now all that's missing is the plumber's intervention , but he won't be able to operate before the end of this week."
