A cannabis plantation ended up under seizure and six people in handcuffs.

This is the outcome of the operation by the Carabinieri of the Oristano provincial command who triggered the blitz in the countryside of Baratili San Pietro on Friday evening. The six young men are currently in Massama prison, awaiting validation of their arrest.

The military, as part of activities to combat and prevent drug dealing, had been carrying out checks in the countryside for days and on Friday afternoon they stopped at the company of a 25-year-old, originally from Cabras.

Searches and checks, then the carabinieri took some samples to send them to the Ris of Cagliari and check if the active ingredient was within the limits established by law (the Thc must be less than 0.2) as reported by the young man who immediately claimed it was a sativa hemp plantation and therefore legal, with all the documents in order.

THE MEASURE – In the plantation, however, the blossoming, or the separation of the inflorescences from the seedlings, had also begun: an illegal operation and forbidden to the grower. It would be precisely for this reason that in the late evening of Friday, after all the checks and checks, the carabinieri of the station together with colleagues from the provincial command arrested the 25-year-old and five other non-EU boys who helped him in the cultivation of the plantation.
