Adalberto Miani's widow, as she had promised, has gone on the counterattack. Simonetta Iozzia, accused of having manipulated and exploited her elderly husband (the Monegasque banker Adalberto Miani), has filed a petition with the Tempio Tribunal asking for the revocation of the measure freezing the assets inherited from the man.

She did so through the well-known matrimonial lawyer Annamaria Bernardini de Pace, who assists her together with Sara Pala and Massimiliano Ravenna. Simonetta Iozzia, 52, from Siniscola (owner of businesses in San Teodoro and Budoni) considers the measure with which several assets were blocked, including an extra luxury villa in Porto Cervo, to be unjustified. The judge of the Tempio Court, Alessandro Di Giacomo, in recent weeks, had ordered the freezing of the properties to protect the children of the banker Adalberto Miani, with whom Simonetta Iozzia married in December 2022.

The man died at the age of 86 at the end of 2024. Annamaria Bernardini de Pace, lawyer of, among others, Francesco Totti, Nina Moric, Ornella Vanoni and Asia Argento, now also enters the scene in the clash over Miani's millionaire assets.

The children of the banker of Italian origins (represented by lawyers Gildo Ursini, Marco Petitta and Marzia Ghigliazza) accuse Iozzia of having manipulated Miani and are questioning the banker's marriage and will. In the next few days the Tempio Tribunal will decide on the new appeal. Iozzia's lawyers are determined: " No manipulation was ever carried out against a man who was perfectly capable of understanding and wanting and who was fully aware of what he was doing. Even less does it correspond to reality that the woman squandered her husband's assets and had herself named universal heir (not to mention the intrinsic contradiction of this assertion). Equally false is that the man was the victim of mistreatment when, on the contrary, his wife was the only one to lovingly take care of him."

it is absolutely false that Iozzia deceived Dr. Miani or exploited his (moreover, non-existent) deteriorating mental conditions;

2) therefore, no manipulation was ever put in place against a man who was perfectly capable of understanding and willing and who was completely aware of what he was doing;

3) it is equally false that the latter was voluntarily isolated;

4) above all it is false (and it is incredibly serious to even state it) that the man's cancer treatments have been suspended;

5) it is not true that the children did not know of their father's death or where his ashes were;

6) it is even less true that the woman squandered her husband's estate and had herself named universal heir (not to mention the intrinsic contradiction of this assertion);

7) It is equally false that the man was the victim of abuse when, on the contrary, his wife was the only one to lovingly take care of him.

Given that Ms Iozzia has not received any provision from the Tempio Pausania Public Prosecutor's Office and that she only learned of the criminal proceedings mentioned above from press articles, it is worth pointing out that the blatant falsity of the statements listed above is perfectly documentable.

It is clear that, should it be ascertained that what is recalled above actually corresponds (and in the terms cited) to the content of a complaint, Ms Iozzia will not hesitate for a single moment to protect her honour before all competent authorities.
