Bad weather: flooded underpasses and basements, dozens of interventions in the Oristano area

Over 50 interventions were carried out by the Fire Brigade of the Oristano Command with six teams mainly involved in the municipalities of Marrubiu, Terralba, Uras, San Nicolò d'Arcidano, overwhelmed by the violent rains.
In the municipality of Uras, the Coc was established, where the mayor, the official of the Fire Brigade of the Oristano Command are present together with the police forces and teams of civil protection volunteers.
The teams were busy as a precaution securing some disabled people and families living in the lower parts of the municipality, the most critical moments being between 11pm and 3am.
The transit of the railway underpass in Terralba was interrupted for a long time, emptied with a high-capacity fire engine. Several cars remained blocked.
Dozens of requests for help are being handled by the Operations Room of the Oristano Fire Brigade Command, especially for flooded basements and safety interventions.
