Yet another change of direction in maritime connections between Sardinia and the rest of the Peninsula .
The prohibitive sea conditions in the Strait of Bonifacio, due to the strong mistral wind, have forced the Tirrenia – Moby company to change its program once again . Therefore the Moby Tommy ferry, coming from Genoa and headed to Porto Torres, this evening landed in the Gallura port of Isola Bianca .
In the Gulf of Asinara, very strong winds are blowing from the north-western quadrants, with gusts exceeding 30 knots, or over 54 kilometres per hour.
Passengers without vehicles , who were planning to depart from the North West port, will have to use the bus service departing from Porto Torres, at 6.30 pm, at the “Nino Pala” maritime station.
The inconveniences endured by the Turritano port are also reflected in the economy of the area, in particular on the commercial activities that draw relief from passenger traffic.
