The 23-year-old Sudanese man arrested yesterday for stabbing a 38-year-old North African man on Via Vittorio Veneto, Olbia, has been transferred to Sassari prison. He faces charges of attempted murder.

According to the investigative reconstruction, at the height of an altercation sparked by trivial matters, the suspect allegedly struck the 38-year-old man three times in the back and ribs . The victim was immediately rescued and transported to Olbia Hospital in critical condition, where he remains hospitalized.

Fortunately, his condition is not worrying and his life is not in danger.

The immediate investigation, conducted by the NORM Operational Section with the support of the Olbia Centro Carabinieri Station, allowed the alleged attacker to be identified and located within hours, reconstructed the circumstantial evidence supporting the arrest warrant, and seized the knife used in the attack.

In recent days, in the same OIbia area, the military has arrested several people for drug-related crimes , and the police activity carried out has also allowed the Provincial Public Safety Authority of Sassari to adopt a license suspension order, pursuant to Article 100 of the Consolidated Law on Public Safety.
