A 28-year-old from Alà dei Sardi, Giuseppe Seddaiu, was acquitted of attempted murder.

The judges of the Tempio Court (college chaired by Caterina Interlandi) exonerated Seddaiu regarding the events that occurred on 14 August 2014 in the car park of the Villa Pascià nightclub in Olbia, where a 20-year-old Piedmontese tourist was beaten, immobilized and stabbed.

Seddaiu had been accused of attempted murder together with five other boys, all minors.

The young man's defender, lawyer Guido Datome, reported to the judges that proof of Seddaiu's presence and role during the attack on the victim had never been achieved. The "American-style" recognition did not bring decisive elements for the prosecutor, who, in fact, today asked for acquittal.

The sentence which excludes any responsibility came after ten years spent with a serious accusation against him.
