Attack on used clothing collection bins in Quartu

Used clothing bins in the streets and squares of the center and outskirts of Quartu continue to be targeted by uncivilized people. In recent days, even the small park on Via San Benedetto has been inundated with bags left stacked next to the bins, too full to contain them.

However, some uncivilized people, once they realize that the capacity has reached maximum, rather than taking the bags home, very calmly throw them on the ground, creating inconvenience and degradation.

And it's not just San Benedetto. The same scene also occurs at the foot of the bins on Via Marconi, a few steps from the intersection with Piazza Azuni, and in Piazza IV Novembre near the post office. And then there are those who search for what they like by crawling into the bin and throwing the discarded items haphazardly on the ground.

The same problem exists in the small park on Via Marconi at the intersection with Via Merello. The bins had been moved from Via San Francesco, where they were being used as makeshift dumpsters, but the situation hasn't changed, and residents have repeatedly requested their removal.

The former newsstand is still in the park, unsafe for which the municipality has issued a demolition order. The administration had ordered the owners of the structure, whose permit has not expired, to demolish the kiosk/newsstand as it is unsafe and poses a risk to public safety.
