“Thanks to his works, Sardinia has entered the cultural and literary debate of the whole world with its deepest identity”. Thus the president Christian Solinas 150 years after the birth of the nobel prize Grazia Deledda and with the occasion of the naming, at Villa Devoto, of a room for the great intellectual and writer.

On the occasion, also discovered a plaque and a photographic portrait.

"The identity and authenticity of Sardinia were proposed to the world by the work of Deledda - said the President - it transmitted to the world and to the literary group the sense of altruity and elsewhere, that is, that there was a place and a people with highly qualifying differences and peculiarities, which have forced everyone to come to terms with the great wealth of a world, a face and traditions that fit into the European context with their importance ".

"It is a way - concluded the President - not to break away but to unite better, and confront each other in a harmonious balance".
