They had not seen each other for more than forty years , since they - children - sat between school desks.
Great and exciting reunion for the fifth class B of the “Giuseppe Pintus” institute in Assemini .
“The idea came from a classmate of mine, Cristina Medda”, says Donatella Murtas. Armed with such enthusiasm, they immediately set to work to find old school friends , all (or almost) fresh from their fiftieth birthday.
“In the end we ended up in 12,” continues Murtas. "Unfortunately, two comrades are gone while others live outside Sardinia".
Among the students of fifth B, in the eighties, there was also a future mayor, Mario Puddu . "He was the one who gave us a wonderful surprise," continues Murtas.
While in fact they had managed to contact the teacher Angela , from Carbonia, the attempts to trace the teacher Annamaria , from Cagliari, had not been successful.
It was the former mayor who carried out the feat. Unbeknownst to all participants, he brought the 82-year-old teacher to the reunion . A “carrambata” in all respects : “We didn't really expect it”, reveals Murtas, “seeing it again after so many years was incredible”.
An evening dedicated to memories, nostalgia and emotions, with the promise not to get lost in sight.
