Assaulted by a stranger during a walk along the seafront, 49-year-old in hospital
In the scuffle, the attacker ended up on the ground losing his mobile phone, which is now in the hands of the police

It had to be the usual quiet walk along the Balai seafront, a walk near one of the busiest beaches in Porto Torres, a physical exercise to help improve balance when suffering from walking problems.
Instead for LM, a 49-year-old man living in Porto Torres, the day turned into a nightmare. He was attacked by a stranger as he came down the steps, in the upper part of the Balai park, near the gazebo.
"While I was proceeding on my usual path he joined me and suddenly for no reason - says the 49-year-old - he threw a strong kick in the middle of the legs". A violent blow in the private parts, then the ruinous fall from the staircase and struck her on the side.
The 49-year-old ended up at the Santissima Annunziata civil hospital in Sassari, where he was subjected to a series of medical examinations and tests. "The person who attacked me was wearing a gray sweatshirt and was hooded, so I couldn't recognize him," adds the victim. "When he hit me I managed to grab him - he continues - and we both lost our balance, while his cell phone fell out of his pocket which I recovered and handed over to the local police".
The mobile phone was empty, so it is expected to be loaded to try to trace the attacker who, after the episode, fled and lost track. Some witnesses who witnessed the scene alerted 118 and the police, who are investigating to find the culprit.
