To those who visited him on his 101st birthday, Attilio Stochino told stories of life lived in an Arzana of other times.

The former baker is witness to a century of life and during the chat with the mayor, Angelo Stochino, and the deputy, Marco Pinna, his nephew, he reconstructed with clear memories a cross-section of the village's history. Celebrated by his sons Angela and Valentino, his daughter-in-law Susanna and his granddaughters Roberta and Giulia, Mr. Attilio welcomed many friends and the two municipal administrators into his home in via Dante, from whom he received the books “Pani”, “Transumanza” and “Cantigos de Nadale".

«The hours flew by listening to Uncle Attilio - said Mayor Stochino - who was generous with historical stories, descriptions of the daily life of our town which took us back in time and gave us inspiration, as an administration, to build a video documentary, which through the voice of our elders can leave testimonies on the history of our community over time".

During his stories Attilio Stochino exhumed memories unknown both to the administrators and to a large part of the community, such as the existence of a church that developed in the area upstream where the elementary and middle schools in via Sardegna are located today.
