Arzachena, pollution risk: car recovered after 10-meter fall into river

Once the fear of possible physical consequences for those involved had passed, the intervention of the firefighters was again necessary this morning to recover the car which yesterday, after a ten-meter fall, had remained in the waters of the San Giovanni stream, near the State Road 125, in the Arzachena area.
The recovery of the vehicle was necessary to avoid pollution phenomena. To complete the operation, divers and a crane from the headquarters in Sassari intervened, with the support of the Arzachena team.
The Carabinieri were also on site. The intervention lasted an hour and a half, ending around 11:30.
The vehicle had been there since yesterday morning around 6: the driver had come out unharmed but in a state of confusion, so much so that the firefighters had carried out several dives to rule out that there could be other occupants inside.
