Arzachena, illegal landfill with 1,500 recycling bins in a municipal area

An area of municipal property in the Monte Aguisi area, a few kilometers from the town of Arzachena , was seized by the Noe Carabinieri (Sassari command). The military, at the end of an activity lasting several months, identified a site unduly used to store material and waste. The complaint is that of illegal landfill .

Almost 1500 plastic tubs were found that were originally intended for waste separation users . Therefore tools used to protect the environment abandoned in the open countryside and moreover in a public area. The tubs have been in the area for almost eight years. Investigations are underway into the resolutions of the Municipality of Arzachena relating to the use of the land and a dispute with the company that owns the tubs. Vehicles were also found at the site.
