Arson between Pozzomaggiore and Padria, two farmers reported

Two farmers were reported in relation to the big fire that occurred in the night between 22 and 23 September between Pozzomaggiore and Padria. The flames, which affected about 40 hectares of land, had started in the area of Murauppolos, in Pozzomaggiore, subsequently spreading and causing considerable damage to the electric lighting, to the water network and to various municipal and private wall fences.

Thanks to the timely intervention with the activation of the fire prevention plan, the fire was prevented from reaching the state road 292 and the inhabited center. The investigations by the carabinieri of Padria made it possible to exclude that what happened was due to an authorized burning, as one of the shepherds identified during the intervention had said, but on the contrary, the arson nature of the fire against two Pozzomaggiore breeders.
