Arson attack in La Maddalena: the van of a company belonging to the councilor for urban planning set on fire

A Renault Master van, registered in the name of the Dual srl company, of which the councilor for urban planning, Andrea Columbano is the sole director , caught fire in the night between Saturday and last Sunday around 3:30 .

Della Dual is a member of Tommaso Gallo, councilor of the board of the La Maddalena Archipelago National Park.

The van was parked near the Piras Village, in the private area of the "L'Agriturismo" restaurant, registered to the same company. The flames, which caused significant damage, were put out by the fire brigade .

The restaurant has been closed since last summer pending the completion of some renovation works.

"I am quite tried by this fact - says Andrea Columbano - I would never have expected such a thing, both as an administrator and as an entrepreneur".

Last April, says Columbano, the same van had its mirrors broken and the tires slashed. «Full personal solidarity and that of the whole Administration towards the two administrators, councilor Andrea Columbano and councilor of the Tommaso Gallo Park - expressed the mayor Fabio Lai - for the act of private violence suffered . It is clear that the seriousness of the facts cannot be limited to a simple stunt , a gesture to be condemned without ifs and buts. I hope that the investigations can quickly shed light on the matter to restore a climate of serenity in the city".
