A 28-year-old street vendor, resident in Naples, confessed to being responsible for a robbery against a pensioner from Cagliari. The man admitted his responsibilities this morning when questioned by Tempio magistrates.

The events date back to last Thursday and occurred in Cagliari, the street vendor was arrested by the staff of the capital's police station while he was trying to board a ferry in the port of Olbia. The victim, over 90 years old, was robbed in his home. But the businessman from Campania did not know that cameras had been activated in the house by the relatives of the elderly woman, who had already been the victim of a scam. A relative of the pensioner saw the man in action in the apartment and immediately reached the building. The street vendor escaped after a scuffle with the victim's family member, but his escape ended in Olbia.

The State Police tracked him down after reconstructing the movements of the car that the dealer had rented. The story seems to confirm the alarming phenomenon of individuals "moving" to the island from Campania and Lazio to rob and defraud elderly and defenseless people. There are dozens of complaints.
