50 new Oss, hired on a fixed-term basis, are arriving at Arnas Brotzu. Good news for the union that "after the protests and claims carried out to deal with the ongoing welfare emergency, we can only appreciate the decision of the General Management".

This was announced by Gianfranco Angioni of Usb Sanità and member of the delegation dealing with RSU. «As we have always reiterated, socio-health workers, being fundamental in the organization of care , need to be integrated into a team with nursing staff , being the same one responsible for preventive, curative, palliative and rehabilitative care, and of a technical, relational nature and educational. However, in order to guarantee the different care settings , the contractual obstacle of the constraint of ready availability which according to the legislation cannot be more than 7 shifts per month must still be overcome ".

«To do this - continues the trade unionist - it is essential to establish an objective project with additional resources, without prejudice to the assumption that the staff of the different professional roles must be integrated and made permanent, as it is unthinkable in the long term to monetise the discomfort and fatigue".
