The CSM plenum today chose the name of the new public prosecutor of Sassari.
Gianni Caria's successor will be Armando Mammone, currently serving in the Oristano Prosecutor's Office. The choice came with the favorable opinion of the Minister of Justice, Carlo Nordio.
Mammone, 57, beat two other candidates. A magistrate since 1996, he was first in the Magistrate's Court and then in the Court of Grosseto and since 2009 he has been a deputy at the Public Prosecutor's Office of Oristano.
For two years he was also the acting chief prosecutor in the Oristano garrison. In Parma, in the Court of the Emilian city, Mammone dealt with the case of the child Tommaso Onofri, kidnapped and killed.
In Oristano, Mammone's work was characterized by investigations into public administration.
