Area reopens its territorial offices scattered throughout Sardinia to the public. It wouldn't be news if there weren't a background: "Eroded load-bearing pillars, abandoned buildings, insufficient maintenance. And the agency doesn't respond to citizens' appeals and requests. The restrictions imposed for Covid are still in force in the Cagliari offices" . The complaint was poured into a question by Fratelli d'Italia addressed to the regional department of Public Works.

After describing the serious state of degradation of numerous properties that should be managed by the regional agency for public housing, the opposition members had also pointed out that – it was the end of 2024 – users were not being welcomed by virtue of the application of the regulations that – in 2020 – had been imposed to stem the spread of the virus.

An emphasis that seems to have hit the mark. On January 20, the acting general manager, Flavia Adelia Murru, issued a directive addressed to all employees. She ordered the offices to be open to the public on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, from 10:30 to 12 and from 15:30 to 16:30. This starting from February 1, "to respond effectively and efficiently to the needs of users". It requires "in particular a more flexible approach and more attentive to the problems in which it is

users involved". As if to say: up to now it hasn't been like this.
