Arbus: 72 year old in difficulty while kitesurfing, ends up on a rock

An HH-139 B helicopter from the 80th SAR (Search and Rescue) Center of the Air Force, based at the Decimomannu military airport, intervened to rescue him in the late afternoon.
Friends of the athlete and other people present on the beach raised the alarm, immediately triggering emergency procedures.
The crew, a specialized team made up of pilots, on-board operator and air rescuer, took off from the Decimomannu base and after reaching the vessel, lowered the air rescuer with winch and carried out the recovery, again with the winch in double slings. The injured man was transported to the Brotzu hospital in Cagliari.
