In the previous hearing, the Region and Horse Country Resort had requested compensation for damages totaling 580 thousand euros and had joined the request for conviction formulated by the prosecutor Valerio Bagattini, who concluded with nine years. Defense lawyers Claudia Piroddu and Gianfranco Siuni had urged Milan's acquittal, arguing the lack of evidence against the breeder, who would have had no interest in setting fire to the marsh grass and certainly no desire to burn the pine forest. The judges will file the reasons for the sentence within ninety days.
