He crashed his scooter on the 125 Dir state road, near Arbatax.
A man, a 49-year-old originally from Palermo but transplanted to Tortolì, was rescued around 9.30 today by nursing staff for the injuries he sustained following the fall that occurred in via Lungomare, in the section between the Forestry station and the colony of the diocese of Lanusei.
He was found on the ground by some passers-by, alert and conscious but with a head wound that caused significant blood loss.
According to a first dynamic, still to be ascertained, the man fell after the scooter hit a manhole cover that emerges between the roadway and the side of the road. He suffered a head and facial trauma: transported by the ambulance of Le Grazie di Tortolì, he was admitted to the Nostra Signora della Mercede hospital.
Traffic was slowed down along the stretch of road.
