From Piazza Garibaldi to Piazza del Carmine: five thousand people to the tune of "Bella ciao" invaded the streets of the city so as not to forget, seventy-eight years later, the liberation of Italy from the Nazi-fascists and pay homage to those who fought for democracy.

"It is important to remember what we have achieved thanks to the resistance," the organizers say from the stage.

Also present was the oldest partisan in Sardinia: Angelo Lobina, 101 years old, born in 1922 in Siurgus Donigala: "Continue like this even if one day I have to leave: never stop fighting for freedom".
