"No more exercises: the Sardinian military polygons must be reconverted for tourism". The message of the anti-militarists of the A Foras collective, who also announced a demonstration for 2 June, the day of the Republic Day, arrived during a meeting with the press organized in front of the camp of the NATO soldiers at Capo Teulada, engaged in the Noble Jump 2023 and on the key day of the exercise.

«We are here to protest against the mega-exercise of NATO, which has brought thousands of soldiers to our island with the enormous deployment of means and the bombing of large portions of the Teulada shooting range, even those areas not normally subjected to target shooting exercises. fire», explains Pierluigi Caria of A Foras, «we see our land becoming more and more an instrument for war, while instead we should move towards a use in a tourist key that would bring in a higher revenue than the little that comes from military maneuvers».

Today another procession is planned in Cagliari, but organized by Sardinnia Aresti.

The choice of the demonstration on June 2 was made to "denounce that war is not waged only within the firing ranges and not only when there is the attention of all the media on our island, but a very large percentage of our territory , even a citizen, is militarily occupied throughout the year».

Hence the decision to organize a "peaceful and joyful" procession in Cagliari around the Sella del Diavolo, from Marina Piccola to San Bartolomeo. Appointment at 18 for a journey of just under two kilometers in the stretches of road normally open to traffic in the middle of military barracks and servitude.
