Annunziata Murgia, grandmother from Dolianova , yesterday afternoon took the middle school exam at Cpia 1, the provincial adult education center of Dolianova.
Elegant and smiling, she sat in front of the commission to present her thesis : with her there were children and grandchildren, but also the carabinieri of the national association of the Arma, who wanted to pay homage to their oldest member, as widow of a soldier.
Annunziata had interrupted her studies due to the Second World War , but after a life as a seamstress dedicated to work and family, she decided to fulfill a dream she did not want to give up. So this year she enrolled in the school and followed the lessons consistently, despite the mask and the walker. Always sitting at the front desk, she dealt with all subjects, including foreign languages , with the important support of her classmates and teachers.
The exam was a moving moment for everyone: Annunziata, family members and teachers. The culmination of a path that the 90-year-old absolutely does not want to interrupt: “If God wills”, in fact, she is already ready to enroll in the two-year high school . Aim for graduation.
