In time to align with the expiry of those of Olbia and Cagliari, the definitive tender for the routes in territorial continuity from the "Riviera del Corallo" airport of Alghero, to and from Rome Fiumicino and Milan Linate was published.

The Department of Transport has thus opened the tender which will ensure, starting from 29 October and for one year, the service subject to public service obligations.

The deadline for sending offers is June 26th.

In total, the tender is worth around 12 million euros: 8.7 for the Fiumicino section and around 3.3 for the Linate section.

The tender will make it possible to definitively assign the routes after the negotiated procedure had been necessary to identify the carriers, Ita and AeroItalia, to whom to entrust the connections which are currently expiring on 28 October. Procedure that ended up in the sights of the EU because it was considered to be on the borderline with the regulations on state aid.

Hence the expedient which, by dividing the notices in two, was able to proceed with the assignment. Also foreseen is the risk that the new procedure could be deserted: "With these margins of time, in that eventuality, there would be four months to resolve and there would be no risk of interruption of the service", assured the regional councilor to the Transport Moro.
