At the end of 2025, the Guardia di Finanza (Fiamme Gialle) stopped her in Porto Torres as she was disembarking from a ship from Barcelona. The financial police noticed the 47-year-old Spanish woman's suspicious behavior and examined her car, where they discovered 4 kg of drugs wrapped in several packages in a false bottom. The drug test determined the substance to be cocaine, containing over 2 kg of active ingredient.

Today in court in Sassari, the woman, currently in prison, attended the summary trial in which she was charged with drug possession and trafficking.

Prosecutor Angelo Beccu requested six years, arguing the large amount of drugs involved, an aspect that defense lawyer Marcello Caddori of the Lanusei court disagreed with. Preliminary hearing judge Giuseppe Grotteria also rejected the aggravating circumstance but nevertheless ordered the six-year sentence. The lawyer has announced an appeal, deeming the sentence unfair.
