Annalaura Maoddi was 34 years old. Behind a life of studies, interests and political commitment. In front instead, dreams and programs, which he had begun to realize with his work at the Ministry of the Environment, in Rome. Everything shattered: the young woman from Gavoi and "her smile of the best youth", to use the words of the mayor Salvatore Lai, died on a hospital bed: a month ago Annalaura had been hospitalized for a cerebral hemorrhage who had struck her while she was in the house in the Capital that she shared with her companion Giovanni, who had joined her. The coma, some small sign that had rekindled hope. Then in the past few hours the terrible news, which has shaken the community of the Barbagia country.

"It wasn't just hope but the belief that Annalaura would make it and that she would slowly come out of the coma and return to her mother, her partner and her loved ones", says Mayor Tore Lai today, "instead the 'irreparable, the unacceptable and the unfair because what is more unbearable than a young life that is interrupted, of many projects cultivated in youth that are not given time to try to materialize or when some of these are being realized suddenly life shuts down?

Annalaura, adds the mayor on behalf of the entire community, «had a very, too short life to give space to her dreams to come true. But I like to recall her commitment to study which had enabled her to win a competition at the Ministry of the Environment which would have enabled her to carry out significant interventions from an important position in the defense and enhancement of natural assets in the historical phase in which the relevance of these possessions is essential for the survival of the planet and of sentient beings.

The girl is an example for a country in mourning, which gathers around the family: "We will always remember you, young woman of our community, so that our boys and girls take from you that vitality, passion, intelligence and commitment that make life worthy of being lived in its beauty and fullness".
