A real ambush that this morning, around 7, occurred in Oliena. The 59-year-old farmer Tonino Corrias ended up in the sights of several rifle shots.
The man had just left the house and was getting into his car, a blue Ford Fiesta, to reach his fold. But someone - or more than one person - was waiting for him between via Agostino Depretis and via Massaua, and he fired, perhaps from a close range given the limited width of the alley.
On the spot there are the carabinieri coordinated by Lieutenant Colonel Gianluca Graziani, commander of the Nuoro company, who will also analyze the surveillance cameras of the nearby Town Hall to try to understand if in the frames the passage of some person may have been immortalized. Also present were the deputy prosecutor Ireno Satta and the Nuoro prosecutor Patrizia Castaldini.
The victim's body was covered with a golden sheet waiting to be removed, while the hunt for the killer has already begun.
Corrias in the past has escaped two other similar episodes: in 2001 and in 2015.
