It will be a festival dedicated to wine, to the wine production of Sardinia . From 2 to 6 July Alghero will host the Alguer Wine Week , with tastings, shows and exhibitions and, inside, the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles , with the session dedicated to effervescent wines.

The event had previously been presented in Verona , during Vinitaly 2024 and today there was a press conference in Alghero, in the Lo Quarter room with representatives of all the entities involved.

The event is promoted and organized by the Consortium for the protection of Alghero DOC wines together with the Sassari Chamber of Commerce and the Sassari Promocamera body, with the support of the Tourism Department of the Sardinia Region and the contribution of institutional partners such as the Municipality of Alghero, the Alghero Foundation, Laore, Coldiretti, CIA Contadini Italiani, Confagricoltura, AIS Sardegna, Consorzio Riviera del Corallo, CCN Al Centro Storico, Porto Conte Park and Isola Piana Marine Protected Area.

Sardinia aims to become increasingly recognized as the island of wine , both nationally and internationally, thanks to the hosting of a prestigious event such as the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles,” it was said.

The Concours will see the participation of commissions made up of journalists, buyers, experts and opinion leaders, who will talk about their experience on the island, exploring its landscapes, uniqueness and wine excellences.

In parallel, the first edition of the Alguer Wine Week will be launched, an initiative planned by the Alghero DOC Consortium in partnership with the Northern Sardinia Chamber of Commerce and Promocamera which will offer a series of events and tastings dedicated to wine, enhancing Sardinia's wine production and allowing fans to completely immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the competition.

The Lo Quarter location will host the stands of 7 different consortia and groups of wineries , ready to showcase wines from all over Sardinia.
