FestivAlguer is coming to life with an unmissable event that will transform the streets of Alghero into a giant open-air dance floor. The international performing arts festival, conceived and organized by ExPopTeatro with the support of the Regional Department of Tourism, the Alghero Foundation, and the Fondazione di Sardegna, continues to reshape the urban space as a shared stage. The 2025 edition, dedicated to the theme "Stars and Streets," lights up the city with innovative languages, immersive experiences, and shows that combine theater, magic, illusion, and audience participation, strengthening the bond between art and community. This festive spirit is reflected in the event on Saturday, December 20th at 5:00 PM, when the historic center will be swept away by the energy of The Tamarros , the musical-comedy marching band that brings the kitsch and irresistible spirit of the 1970s to the streets.

A traveling acoustic parade of thirteen musicians in flamboyant costumes inspired by Saturday Night Fever— mirrored sunglasses, sequins, bell-bottoms, and glamorous extravaganzas—will enliven the city center streets with rhythm, irony, and infectious enthusiasm. Snare drums, timpani, brass, and saxophones will accompany the audience on a musical journey featuring evergreens like I Will Survive , Hot Stuff , Sex Bomb , and many others. The Tamarros are more than just a street band: theirs is a total performance, where music, theater, and comedy blend in a crescendo of choreography, gags, and special effects that engage adults and children in a collective experience of play and wonder. An afternoon of lightheartedness, rhythm, and live entertainment that will accompany Christmas shopping and once again transform the streets of Alghero into places of encounter, participation, and wonder. An event that fully embodies the spirit of FestivAlguer and its theme , "Stars and Streets."
