Alghero, yacht catches fire at the entrance to the port: two people on board

A yacht caught fire at the entrance to the port of Alghero .

The boat, a 45-foot Riva with two Sassari on board , was engulfed in flames right at the mouth of the inner breakwater for reasons yet to be ascertained.

The crew jumped into the sea and was immediately rescued by a rubber dinghy.

On the spot the Captaincy and the Finance Police, while the Fire Brigade tried to reach the hull from the tip of the pier to water it with hydrants .
