A sport fisherman caught in trouble by the military of the Maritime District Office

He fished with his rod within zone A of the integral reserve of the Capo Caccia-Isola Piana marine protected area.
A sport fisherman is in trouble when he is surprised by the soldiers of the Maritime District Office of Alghero intent on carrying out a night surveillance service on board the CP559 patrol boat.
The man, once identified, was reported to the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Sassari, for having fished, in defiance of current legislation on environmental protection and safeguarding ecosystems and marine habitats, in an area of particular naturalistic value identified and appropriately reported as an integral reserve.
The commander of the Maritime District Office, Biagio Semeraro , reminds us that the activities permitted within the Marine Protected Area are regulated by the 2023 implementing regulations approved by the president of the Porto Conte Special Park Agency. In particular, zone “A” is an integral reserve area, prohibited for all activities that could cause damage or disturbance to the marine environment.
