The 2025 G20 beaches will be hosted in Alghero . The decision was taken on the occasion of the summit of Italian seaside cities in Caorle, Veneto. This is the comparison table of the most visited coastal destinations in Italy, with less than 65 thousand inhabitants, more than 1 million annual tourist presences and territories characterized by strong tourist pressure.

Representing the Coral Riviera were the councilors for Tourism and Urban Planning, Alessandro Cocco and Emiliano Piras, who participated in various discussions with the Marine Communities network, the network of coastal municipalities committed to outlining a new sustainable future for the coasts of the country.

Among the topics at the center of the debate are mobility, infrastructure and the development of competitive cultural products and experiences. Alghero talked about the UNESCO candidacy projects of the prehistoric archaeological heritage of Sardinia, which sees the city in the north-west of Sardinia as the leader together with Cesim, led by Prof. Peppina Tanda, which involves over 60 municipalities on the island.

Another good practice shared with other public administrations is that of " Plaçalguer - Gust I Tradició ", the experiential promotion format of the traditional food and wine tourism product. An opportunity for discussion between public administrations and for the promotion of destinations, with the hope and awareness that 2025 can also represent the year in which to celebrate the result of the recognition by the Parliament of the Maritime Communities.
