Jealousy and betrayal are the driving forces of the Shakespearean drama "Othello" which Giuseppe Verdi set to music making it a masterpiece.
The pianist Paolo Piana will reveal the obvious and hidden treasures in the score on Saturday at 6.30 pm in the spectacular setting of the Hotel Corte Rosada in Alghero .
The event opens the exhibition "At the end of the day" organized in collaboration with the Libreria Dessí of Sassari, in a sort of lyrical aperitif . This is a series of initiatives that aim to delve into different cultural fields: from music to opera, from cinema to books.
Paolo Piana graduated in piano at the “Arrigo Boito” Conservatory in Parma under the guidance of Maestro Roberto Cappello. He began his activity in the world of opera at the Marialisa de Carolis concert organization in Sassari in 1995. He has collaborated with Claudio Abbado, Luca Ronconi, Stefano Vizioli, Daniele Abbad. In 2011 he became a Master in marketing, management and communication of music at the “La Sapienza” University of Rome.
