A new view for the former seaside disco that has been abandoned for decades. The Municipality of Alghero has published the tender for the management of the Caval Marì , the prestigious 500 square meter building set in the cliff of Lungomare Dante it will be sold to the highest bidder to be redeveloped and enhanced .

The Territorial and Environmental Planning and Enhancement and State Property and Heritage sectors have given four months to submit offers, leaving ample room for proposals for entrepreneurs.

"A new goal achieved," underlines Mayor Mario Conoci . «As decided by the council majority, a prestigious property, inexplicably abandoned for over a decade, which in the past was already a symbol of tourism which in Alghero must also be valorised with high quality proposals, is being rescued from degradation . The Caval Marì will thus be returned to its historical and original destination, updating it and making it modern and sustainable».

Interested entrepreneurs will be able to express their interest in the redevelopment of the structure and its management by 31 December 2023. «The overall offer of services to citizens and tourists is improved, continuing the recovery process of the abandoned local public heritage, already started with determination in recent years by the municipal administration», recalls the councilor Giovanna Caria, who immediately focused and worked extremely effectively on the enhancement of public buildings, their recovery and rational use.
