The ASL of Sassari opens in Fertilia, a hamlet of Alghero, the first territorial nursing clinic (AIT) in the north-west of Sardinia.
A meeting point between the nurse and the population, a place of care where complete and proactive care of the patient is guaranteed.
The facility was inaugurated on Thursday afternoon in the Catalan hamlet, in the presence of the top management of the ASL of Sassari, the mayor of Alghero, Raimondo Cacciotto, and the councilor for the well-being of individuals, families and the community, Maria Grazia Salaris.
"In a context characterized by a progressive aging of the population and a simultaneous increase in chronic-degenerative diseases and the presence of multiple pathologies, our Company considers the opening of Territorial Nursing Clinics to be strategic," said Flavio Sensi, general manager of the ASL of Sassari, "able to ensure a local response to complex social and health needs. The current scenario makes it necessary to implement proactive and innovative care models that require a reorganization of the territorial health offer. From this perspective, the function of this new service is not limited to the service provided in response to a need, but extends to the planning of personalized care interventions in collaboration with the various health professionals, aimed at the person being assisted and the family, promoting healthy lifestyles in order to maintain autonomy and improve the quality of life."
A service that is part of the company's planning that aims to relocate and bring the healthcare offering closer to the population, in particular to the weakest groups, often distant from the larger centers identified as reference healthcare hubs.
