Five city councilors and one councilor come from the centre-right: «A worrying continuity». This is how the council groups of Forza Italia, UDC-Patto per Alghero, Lega, Fratelli d'Italia and Prima Alghero commented on the debut of the Cacciotto Council.

«They had deluded the people of Alghero with an electoral campaign devoid of programs but full of proclamations of discontinuity and change. Here we must sadly point out that as many as 5 councilors come from the city centre-right, as well as a councilor who returns with the same mandates, despite the citizens' negative opinion", the opposition parties denounce.

«A worrying continuity, which confuses the electorate, which promotes and re-proposes failed councillors, as a price to pay at the expense of the clarity and difference voted by the citizens. Evidently by deception. Added to this", they insist from the centre-right, "is that the council is incomplete, as the mayor has only managed to appoint six councillors. We do not want to assume prejudicial attitudes towards Mayor Cacciotto who we hope will be able to interpret the difficult role of mayor well. In the interests of Alghero and the people of Alghero we will form an opposition without preconceived positions and based on the proposals contained in our electoral program which designed the Alghero of the coming decades".
