Moments of fear and panic erupted this evening at the Conad City supermarket on Via Berlinguer, in the Cunetta neighborhood, where a man committed a robbery just before closing time. It was around 8:45 PM when the assailant entered the supermarket, threatened the cashier with a gun, and stole the proceeds, before fleeing without a trace.

At that time, there were still a few customers in the store, busy doing their shopping in the last few minutes before closing time at 9 pm.

The situation caused considerable unrest among those present, although no one was injured. The police were immediately alerted. The Carabinieri began searching for the perpetrator, whose hours are numbered.

The police have reportedly collected several pieces of evidence useful to the investigation, including footage from video surveillance cameras in the area. The incident brings to mind a disturbing precedent: a robbery with a similar pattern occurred in 2016, at the same Conad City store on Via Berlinguer, raising questions about the neighborhood's safety and the possible repetition of proven criminal patterns.
