Only 5 doctors in the emergency room of the civil hospital of Alghero. They should be 9, as in the organic plant. Thus the health facility in via Don Minzoni risks collapse.
The president of the health council commission Christian Mulas denounces this: "There are many, too many dramatic signs of a par-time healthcare that is no longer able to guarantee the right to treatment throughout our territory, a difficult situation that manifests the progression of a serious crisis that could negatively affect people's established habits. The Alghero First Aid service, which we all take for granted, is at risk. If we do not intervene immediately, with courageous political decisions, capable of bringing about important structural changes, we could see the progressive closure or radical negative changes of this function ”.
Ninety daily visits, unsustainable work rates for white coats forced to give up their holidays and take rest not for a whole day but only for a few hours.
"It is necessary to intervene both to fill at least partially the gaps in the staffing equipment, and by strengthening territorial medicine through the 118 filter", suggests Mulas.
