Urgent roadworks are underway that can no longer be postponed. In Alghero, work is underway through the night to resurface Viale I Maggio, the road connecting the city to the village of Fertilia. In the midst of the tourist season, the decision was made to begin resurfacing the asphalt, compromised by roots and deep potholes, resurfacing the drains, and improving access to the new temporary parking lots.

The construction machines will be in motion from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM the next morning, while teams of workers will work for a week along three kilometers of the closed road . The road will reopen in the morning. Municipal technicians reassure us that the work is expected to be completed by next week.
